今年度は、監査上の主要な検討事項（以下、KAMとする）に関する実態調査と関連する先行研究のレビューを行った。まず、実態調査のための準備として、KAMに関するデータベースの構築を行った。KAMは、「KAMの内容を表す見出し」、「決定理由」、「監査上の対応」という３つの内容から構成されており、それぞれのテキストデータを収集する作業を行った。実態調査として、同一の監査人や監査法人が継続して監査を行う期間に着目して、その期間の長さに応じて記載内容などに重要な違いがあるかどうかを調査したが、現時点では明確な違いを読み取ることができていない。他方で、KAMにおける「監査上の対応」に関する説明を丹念に調べた結果、これまでにあまり開示されることがなかった新しい内容が含まれている可能性があることが分かった。とくに、監査における専門家（評価専門家など）の利用について、企業ごとに違いがあることが予想された。そこで、実態調査を拡張して、KAMにおける「監査上の対応」の説明に基づいて、監査における専門家の利用状況に関するデータベースを構築することを試みた。
