バングラデシュでは、女性対象のマイクロファイナンス（以下MF）事業を通じた融資金の多くが男性の手にわたるという状態が、MF事業が広まった1980年代から継続しており、規範下において所与のものであると捉えられていた。しかし報告者が2015年に実施した調査では、女性たちは、融資金の活用や収入へのアクセスを諦めているわけではなく、実は、規範の逸脱によって世帯内で生じる摩擦を避けために、独自の戦略を用いて限定的な形でもおこなおうとしていた。本研究では、新型コロナウィルス感染拡大や拡大防止措置（以下、コロナ禍）によりジェンダー構造の変化に向けた危機傾向が生じているという仮説をたて、コロナ禍によって生じた、「女性の融資金の活用方法や収入へのアクセス」、「ジェンダー規範に対する解釈」に関する変化を明らかにすることを目指している。事例調査は、(A)コロナ前後の変化、 (B)ポストコロナ禍における意識の変化のプロセス、(C)コロナ禍後についての調査、という段階的なアプローチを用いる。初年度にあたる2022年度は、2015年に報告者が実施した調査対象者を対象として、インタビューやワークショップを通じて、コロナ禍前後の状況についての聞き取りをおこなった。調査では、コロナ禍におけるロックダウン及び、2022年2月以降のロシアによるウクライナ侵攻による急激なインフレーションが、多くの世帯に経済的な必要性を引き起こし、女性の収入へのアクセスが促進されるようになってきていることが明らかになった。背景に、教育普及による女性の能力強化、母子保健に関する啓発活動や教育熱の高まりによる少子化や核家族化、政府が促進してきているICTの促進による情報や遠隔コミュニケーションの普及などの影響がみられた。次年度、現地調査を通じて、変化のプロセスを明らかにし、仮設の証明を目指す予定である。
