项目摘要

本研究の目的は、3歳未満児保育固有の環境構成の方法及びその背景にある保育者の考え方を可視化することである。2022年度は、まず、国内で3歳未満児の保育環境についての研究がどのように蓄積されてきたかについて、システマティックレビューの手法を用いて整理した。結果として、0・1・2歳児という年齢による研究蓄積の偏りは見られないものの、3歳未満児の年齢を通して扱う研究が多く蓄積されていると整理された。また、焦点を当てる場面としては室内の遊び場面が中心的であると整理された。整理された研究動向を踏まえ、研究１として、3歳未満児保育の国際的に広く使用され、邦訳版も出版されている、3歳未満児の保育を対象とした保育環境評価スケール『Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale Third Edition（ITERS-3）』（Harms et al. 2017）の内容を分析し、環境構成の中で特に注目すべき点について整理した。ITERS-3は、6つのサブスケールから構成されている。レビューから明らかになった、3歳未満児の生活の基本となる室内の環境構成に関するサブスケール１【空間と家具】について、どのように環境構成をすることが求められるのか、質的分析法の1つであるSCAT（Steps for Coding and Theorization）を用いて、指標の背景にある考え方も含めて検討した。0歳から3歳にかけての姿勢の変化に伴う環境構成や、養護等に必要な保育者のための環境などが重視されていると明らかになった。この結果を生かして、今後、研究２で実施する保育者へのインタビューの質問項目を作成した。
