本研究の目的は、ＮＰＯの提供する大学生向けボランティア活動プログラムに焦点を据え、教育的関わりを通じて大学生が変容「する／しない」プロセスを説明する類型論の構築により参加のプロセスを包括的に説明することである。上記目的に照らし、本年度は定量的分析のための質問紙調査の実施と、フィールドワーク・インタビュー調査などの質的調査を実施した。質問紙調査については時系列分析を行うため、本年度は２度の調査を実施した。なお、質問紙調査においては調査対象団体のボランティア学生全員を対象とするが、コロナ禍ないしコロナ後を見据えて調査対象団体内で学生の役割等の制度変更が行われた。こうした調査対象団体内での変更が調査に影響を及ぼす可能性について慎重に検討したい。上記懸案への対策の一環として、混合調査法の観点から、対象団体のメーリングリストのデータを追加で収集し、計量テキスト分析の手法を用いて分析している。得られたデータについては一部分析し、学会発表等を行った。具体的な研究内容に関して、本研究は類型論の構築を目的としているが、複数ある類型の中でも、特に「変容しない学生」との信頼関係の構築及びインタビュー調査を行うことができた。一方で、こうした調査対象者は団体から離れることも多く、継続的なインタビュー調査が困難な事例もみられた。参加プロセスの包括的な説明のためにも、今後の調査において重点的に関わるべき対象の選出を行った。
