本研究では，以下の点を通じて不登校の予兆を発見できる尺度を作成し，教員の支援力向上の観点から，不登校の予防的支援の充実に対して貢献することを目指す。①不登校の予兆を発見できる尺度について，学校心理学の4領域（学習，進路，心理・社会，健康）の観点から，先行研究の検討，小学校・中学校・高等学校等の教諭および養護教諭等への聞き取りなどを通じて項目の選定を行い，小学校・中学校・高等学校の児童生徒への調査を実施し，尺度の信頼性・妥当性の確認を行い，尺度を作成する。②作成した尺度について，慎重な追跡調査を実施するとともに，欠席・遅刻・早退日数や，不登校傾向尺度（五十嵐・萩原，2004）の変化などとの関連から，本当に尺度が不登校の予兆発見に結びついているのかを実証することで，学校での活用可能なものへと尺度の有用性を高める。当該年度は上記①に係る取組を進めた。これまで文献検討を行うとともに，以下の２つの予備調査を行った。まず予備調査１では，小学校・中学校・高等学校教諭および養護教諭（計５名）を対象に，学校心理学の4領域（学習，進路，心理・社会，健康）の観点から，不登校の予兆と考えられる児童生徒の具体的な言動等の変化ついて質問紙を用いて自由記述による回答を得た。次に予備調査２では，予備調査１で回答を得た５名を対象に，予備調査１で得られた不登校の予兆と考えられる児童生徒の具体的な言動等を観点別に網羅的に提示し，対応する観点に当てはまるものとして考えるにふさわしいか，多くの不登校事例に共通するか，小学校・中学校・高等学校の全ての学校段階で共通する前兆であるか，重複した項目はないかについてのチェックを依頼した。現在，研究協力者である愛知教育大学の五十嵐哲也氏及び福田博美氏とともに，予備調査２で得られた結果から不登校予兆を発見できる尺度の項目案の作成を行っている段階である。
