本研究は要介護高齢者における長時間連続する座位行動の決定要因を能力・機会・動機の観点から網羅的に評価するための質問紙開発と妥当性の検証を目的として開始した。国際的に使用可能な質問紙を開発するために、英語版で79項目からなる原案を作成した後、ダブルトランスレーションによって日本語版の原案を作成した。この際、要介護高齢者へのインタビューによる質的な分析から、「なぜ長時間の座位行動をとるのか」を問うよりも、「長時間座位の回避行動をとるために何が促進要因と阻害要因になるのか」を評価できる質問紙の方が臨床での利用可能性が高まるものと考えられた。評価結果をより直接的に行動変容介入に結びつけることが出来るようにするために、当初予定していた「長時間座位行動の決定要因」に関する質問ではなく、「長時間座位の回避行動」に関する促進要因と阻害要因を問う質問内容に変更した。現在は、要介護高齢者の座位行動あるいは行動変容に見識のある専門家によって原案の表面的妥当性および内容的妥当性の検証を実施している。具体的には複数の専門家による各評価項目の内容的妥当性について評価を意見が収束するまで反復し、項目の絞り込みを行っている。この工程は80%完了しており、2023年5月までに完了する見込みである。今後、要介護高齢者を対象に試作版の質問紙への回答を依頼し、得られたデータを用いて質問紙の構成概念妥当性の検証を行うとともに、身体活動量計で測定した座位行動時間との併存的妥当性の検証を実施し、質問紙を完成させる。また、当初データ収集を行う施設を4施設としていたが、現在は12施設でのデータ収集の準備を進めている。本研究の趣旨と質問紙の概要を伝達するとともに、身体活動量計の使用方法や管理方法についての周知が完了した。今後は各施設の研究開始手続きが完了次第、データ収集を開始する見込みである。
