The purpose of this study is to accumulate scientific knowledge about the entire picture of links between personality traits and physical, mental, and social health. To this end, we had collected the survey data about a variety of health measures from several samples. One of The results revealed that changes in personality traits were significantly and positively correlated with changes in health-related behaviors and changes in self-perceived physical health. This longitudinal study provides evidence that increases in personality trait score and health-related behaviors are associated with improvements in self-perceived health over time.Another result revealed that personality trait fully mediated the effect of parental socialization ofresponsibility on self-rated health. The mediational links were consistent across younger, middle-aged and older-aged cohorts. Our findings suggest that greater parental socialization of responsibility relates to higher personality trait score, and consequently healthier adults. These findings imply that parental behaviors could be a plausible target for intervention to foster the development of personality traits and better health
