Sociological examination of the support for long-distance caregivers

以前，许多社会学的研究都是以远距离照顾者为研究对象。这些研究对老年父母及其职业支持者的关注不够，研究成果不多。本研究拓展了这一课题，并得到了以下新的发现。首先，远距离照顾者对没有住在一起感到内疚。第二，年老的父母假定他们已经死亡，并接受他们的处境。第三，职业支持者不是从生活安排的角度而是从参与的内容的角度来评估长途旅行。

Previously, many sociological examinations about the long-distance caregiving has made only long distance caregiver the subject of their research. These researches have not had much attention about old parents and their professional supporter,so they have not got enough findings. This research expands the subject, and gets the new following findings. First, long distance caregivers feel guilty about not living together. Second, old parents presuppose their death and accept their situation. Third, the professional supporters estimate long distance caregiving from the viewpoint of not living arrangement but their content of involvements.
