The purpose of this study is to clarify how it affects the distribution of the remained blastomeres to eliminate one blastomere from embryo in embryonic development process. I examined the motion of one blastomere marked with fluorescent beads of the early mouse embryo in embryonic development. We also cultured and observed two-cell stage embryos which injected with beads to one blastomere. It was observed in the almost equal incidence rate that those beads are localized only in the inner cell mass or only in the cytotrophoblast cell layer. This study showed that there is a possibility that the fate of differentiation is determined to blastomeres that are considered to have a totipotency before embryonic genome transcription. This result indicates that we need additional investigation to confirm the safety of blastomere removal in the early embryo.
