The concept of Li, Qi, Shu in Zhu Zaiyu's philosophy of musical temperament in the Ming dynasty

本文的研究目的是分析朱载堉的人物哲学思想。朱载堉在明末发明了十二等气质。他利用宋代周易的数学哲学，重建了汉代天文和音乐理论的框架。以往的研究主要认为他是一位高度重视证明的科学家，但我的研究指出，他的思维方式主要受周易数学哲学的影响。本研究厘清了与何唐阴阳哲学的关系，并对朱载堉的《数学》一书进行了分析。朱载堉以《周易》为依托的数学思想被蒋勇晚年沿袭。蒋勇的许多河图、洛树的数学理论都与音乐气质有关。此外，由于重视《周易》所涉及的数学哲学方面，十二等气质在清代学者中并不容易被接受。

The goal of my research was to analyze Zhu Zaiyu's philosophy of figures. Zhu Zaiyu invented 12 equal temperament in the late Ming dynasty. He reconstructed frameworks of astronomical and musical theory from the Han dynasty using the mathematical philosophy of Zhou-yi from the Song dynasty. Previous research dominantly regards him as a scientist concerned highly with proof, but my research points out that his way of thinking was primarily influenced by the mathematical philosophy of Zhou-yi. My research clarifies the relation with He Tang's philosophy of yin-yang and analyzes Zhu Zaiyu's book of mathematics. Zhu Zaiyu's mathematical way of thinking which relied on Zhou-yi was taken up by Jiang Yong in his later years.Jiang Yong related a lot of mathematical theory of He-tu and Luo-shu to musical temperament. Apart from that, 12 equal temperament was not easily accepted by scholars in the Qing dynasty because of the emphasis of the aspects of mathematical philosophy of Zhou-yi involved.
