This study investigated the actual situation of the trade between Florence and the Ottoman Empire in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. First it focused on the Guanti Wool Company which produced woolens and sold them by itself in the Ottoman Empire and analyzed the costs incurred during the trade on the basis of management documents of this company. Secondly it investigated the actual situation of the import of Persian silk from the Ottoman Empire on the basis of documents of the Florentine companies and merchants. Research from these two sources made clear the fact that Florentine companies traded with the Ottoman Empire safely with predictable costs. Lastly this study focused on the import of red dyes into Florence and collected data on its details from the records of the Cambini Company.

本研究考察了十五、十六世纪佛罗伦萨与奥斯曼帝国贸易的实际情况。首先，以奥斯曼帝国境内自行生产和销售羊毛制品的Guanti羊毛公司为研究对象，以该公司的管理文件为依据，分析了贸易过程中的成本。其次，根据佛罗伦萨公司和商人的资料，考察了奥斯曼帝国进口波斯丝绸的实际情况。这两个来源的研究清楚地表明，佛罗伦萨公司与奥斯曼帝国的贸易是安全的，成本可以预测。最后，本研究集中在进口红色染料到佛罗伦萨和收集数据的细节，从坎比尼公司的记录。
