Comparative study on the Codes of Japan and that of China

众所周知，日本在7-8世纪和17-18世纪采用了中国的成文法。在这个项目中，我们试图调查当时从中国进口了什么样的代码。首先，我们通过查阅《两路书》中引用的中国法律书籍，考察了7-8世纪从中国传入日本的法律书籍。接下来，我们检查了17-18世纪幕府和大名所建图书馆的书籍，确认了德川时期从中国进口了什么样的法律书籍。通过这些方法，我们发现7-8世纪对中国法律的研究是非常实用的，对日本法律制度产生了很大的影响，而德川时期的研究只是基于求知欲。

It is well-known to everyone that Japan adopted written law from China in the 7-8 and 17-18th century. In this project, we tried to investigate what kind of codes were imported from China in those days. At first, by checking quotations from Chinese law books in Ryo-no-shuge, we examined what law books were brought to Japan from China in the 7-8 century. Next, we checked the books in the libraries built in 17-18 century by the Shogunate and daimyo, and confirmed what kind of law books imported from China in the Tokugawa period. By these methods, we found the study on Chinese law in the 7-8 century is very practical and had a great influence on Japanese law-system, but that of the Tokugawa period is only based on intellectual curiosity.
