Preparatory Studies of the Annotated Translation of the Tolkappiyaam Porulatikaram

这项研究的目的是为现存最古老的泰米尔诗学著作《Tolkappiyam Porulatikaram》（TP）的基本文本做准备，以便将来制作一个带注释的日文翻译，收集各种印刷版本，如果可能的话，手稿，并比较它们之间的不同阅读。研究的结果如下：1)我准备了一份电子文本的TP，并尽量纠正其中的打字错误。2)电子版在印刷版中包含了不同的阅读，但没有包括在手稿中，因为我最近能得到一份手稿。除了准备其基本文本外，我还针对本研究做了以下研究活动。(1)我准备了诗学专业术语的资料，但还没有完成。(2) 2006年，我和我的学生们阅读了《我的爱》，并将其与梵文的rasa理论进行了比较。(3) 2004年7月和2005年7月，我参加了在德国海德堡举行的第一届和第二届泰尔古典诗学国际研讨会，并准备了《伊莱亚纳尔·阿卡普尔》的注释英译本和TP的第一章。(4) 2004年8月，我参加了在莫斯科举行的ICANAS-37，并阅读了一篇关于泰米尔古典诗歌的版式起源的论文。(5)在这个项目期间，我参加了在奈良柏原的万代历史研究所举办的关于文献起源的几次研讨会，并从不同的角度进行了调查。

The aim of the study is to prepare for the basic text of the Tolkappiyam Porulatikaram (TP), the oldest Tamil work on poetics extant, in order to make an annotated Japanese translation in future, collecting various printing editions and, if possible, manuscripts of it and comparing variant readings among them. The results of the study are as follows :1) I have prepared an electric text of the TP and corrected typing mistakes in it as far as possible.2) The electric text includes variant readings among its printed editions, but do not include them in its manuscripts, since I could get one manuscript recently.Besides the preparation of its basic text, I did the following research activities in connection of this study.(1) I have prepared the data of technical terms of poetics, but not completed it.(2) In 2006, I and my students read the meypatu-iyal comparing with the Sanskrit rasa theories.(3) In July, 2004 and 2005, I attended the 1st and 2nd International Workshop on Temil Classical Poetics at Heidelberg, Germany and prepared the annotated English translation of the Iraiyanar Akapporul and the 1st chapter of the TP.(4) In August, 2004, I attended the ICANAS-37 at Moscow and read a paper on the origin of the colophons to Tamil classical poems.(5) During the term of this project, I attended several workshops concerning the origin of the literature held at the Man'yo Historical Research Institute at Kashiwara, Nara, and investigated it from various points of view.
