Sharpening cutting-edge of thick diamond-film brazed tool to make wood cutting tool with sharp cutting-edge and long tool-life was taken note of in this study. The diamond-film brazed tool was made, it was confirmed that cutting-edge roundness of the tool became small and its surface became flat as compared with the diamond-coated tool. Cutting tests for the edge-sharpened thick diamond-film brazed tool, diamond-coated tool and uncoated tool in the milling of thirteen kinds of woods and three kinds of wood-based materials with a spindle shaper were performed, the difference in cutting power consumption by tool for each work material was examined and the value for cutting-edge of thick diamond-film brazed tool was compared with those for other tools. Furthermore tool-life tests for three tools in the milling of melapi or MDF were performed, the difference in tool-wear progression by tool was examined. From the results of cutting test, cutting performance of the edge-sharpened thick diamond-film brazed milling tool was examined and the superiority as the milling tool was clarified from the view point of long tool-life.
本研究旨在将厚金刚石膜钎焊刀具刃磨,以制造出刃口锋利、使用寿命长的木工刀具。制作了金刚石膜钎焊刀具,证实了与金刚石涂层刀具相比,刀具的切削刃圆度变小,表面变得平坦。用主轴插齿机对13种木材和3种木质材料进行了刃磨金刚石厚膜钎焊刀具、金刚石涂层刀具和未涂层刀具的切削试验,考察了刀具对每种材料切削功耗的差异,并将金刚石厚膜钎焊刀具与其它刀具的切削刃值进行了比较。此外,对三种刀具进行了磨黑皮和磨黑皮的刀具寿命试验,研究了不同刀具磨损程度的差异。通过切削试验,检验了刃磨厚金刚石膜钎焊铣刀的切削性能,并从刀具寿命长的角度阐明了其作为铣刀的优越性。
