本研究は、約20年前まで追跡調査を実施していた対象者らを再度追跡し、50歳代への移行過程を長期的なライフコースの観点から明らかにすることにある。今年度は再開調査の第1回となる「50代への移行調査」を実施した。いったん終えたプロジェクトの20年ぶりの再開となることから、まずは対象者らに再開調査への協力をよびかけた。2002年までの調査に回答してくださっていた379名を対象に、調査再開の協力依頼状を5月31日に発送した。20年の歳月をはさんでいるため、そのうち217名分が宛先不明でもどってきた。大学同窓会の協力を得て、そのうちの116名の住所情報を入手し、7月21日に再発送を行った。第一次発送分に対して8月9日に、第二次発送分に対しては9月22日に督促も行った。調査協力に応じてくださった方には、協力の連絡が入ったその都度、調査票を発送した。その結果、133名の方から回答を得た（夏には132名からの回答を得ていたが、年明けに1名からさらに回答があった）。回答は、郵送返却とオンライン回答がほぼ半数ずつとなった。得られた成果も含めたニュースレターを作成し、回答してくださった133名に2月17日に送付した。また、回収数が少なかったことから、住所情報がありながらまだ反応が得られていない143名を対象に、2月17日に再度、調査依頼を行った。調査がまだ進行中であることから、論文等の成果の公表には至っていない。調査協力者に送った第1号となるニュースレターでは、卒業生が関東地方にある程度集中しながらも地理的に分散していること、３人に１人が大学に関わるなんらかの組織に加入していること、しかしながら、大学キャンパスを訪問する機会はあまりない傾向が認められることなどを報告した。得られたデータの整備と分析を、引き続き進めている。
