本研究の主目的は、実践的社会調査法と心理学的尺度構成の観点から「調査のデータ科学」を展開すべく、以下を遂行することである。特に以下の３点に焦点を当てる。1）「人々の調査協力態度」を計測する尺度の構築、2）各種調査モードによる回収データの統計的代表性及び回答傾向の比較、3）統計的無作為抽出法による調査と非確率標本抽出調査との補完的活用の探索。本年度は以下の3点を中心に推進した。1)まず、現況の世論調査・社会調査の動向確認のため、内閣府政府広報室「世論調査の現況」等の資料を参考に、面接調査、電話調査、郵送調査、WEB調査などの各モードの調査の現況を再確認した。データ収集や公開を含むデータ取り扱いの法律的・倫理的な問題や制限についても、情報・システム研究機構DS共同利用基盤施設・社会調査データ構造化センターの特別講演資料などを含め、国内外の最新の動向を確認した。2)調査協力に関する態度尺度構築をめざし、既存の資料やデータの活用と小規模実験調査を、a) 調査協力態度尺度構成に必要な質問項目の候補を絞る。さらに候補となる多数の項目群から基礎の研究成果からの検討、関連する調査回答データの多次元データ解析などによる考察で主要項目群を絞り、日本版の調査協力態度尺度となる項目案のまとめ、b) 一般的な日常生活や消費者行動や環境配慮意識について、調査トピック毎に回答データの特徴を多次元データ解析するための調査質問群の探索を念頭に検討を進めた。3)プリテスト調査の遂行として、既存の各種モード調査と対照しながらWEB登録モニター調査実験を遂行し、データ解析を進めた。
