本研究の目的は、大学、自治体、社会教育施設、NPO、特別支援学校・学級が連携し、学校教育と障害者福祉の接続を社会実装するアートベース・プログラムを開発・実施・検証することである。そのために、令和4年度には、次の取り組みを行った。１）広島県、広島県立美術館、広島県アートサポートセンター、広島支援機器研究会、広島大学との連携による、障害のある人を対象とした対話型鑑賞、2）広島県あいサポートアート展における遠隔操作ロボットを活用した鑑賞活動、3）広島県立歴史博物館、広島大学附属東雲小学校特別支援学級、広島県アートサポートセンター、広島支援機器研究会、広島大学の連携による遠隔操作ロボットを活用した学習プログラムの開発・実施、４）イタリアの学校におけるフルインクルージョンの実態調査および自治体・非営利団体・美術館の連携によるアクセシビリティの取り組みの実態調査、５）アートベース・リサーチと障害学の複合領域を牽引する海外の研究者による学会での基調講演。令和４年の成果は、特別支援学級に在籍する学齢期の児童と、主に特別支援学校を卒業し福祉施設で生活する人達の両方を対象に、遠隔操作ロボットを活用した美術館、博物館の鑑賞プログラムを実施できた点である。もちろん運営上改善すべき課題は多く存在するが、どちらも参加者の主体的な活動が実現した。また、本事業は、実施日のみならず、事前打ち合わせやロボットの事前練習、省察を含む活動であったため、連携する各組織の関係者や参加者と頻繁に会合し、進捗状況を共有しながら進められた。特別支援学校・学級在学中と卒業後の接続を構想する上で、両者が参加可能であり、複数の組織が連携できる実施体制を形成できたことは、今後に繋がる成果となった。
