特別支援学校における教育のデジタル化は、障害を持つ児童・生徒の一人ひとりの教育的ニーズを把握し、創意工夫ある個別配慮を施した独自のＡＴ（アシスティブ・テクノロジー：支援技術）対応が前提のため、ICT支援ができる人材不足も相まって、十分なデジタル教育の効果がひき出せていないのが現状である。本研究は、実践的技術者の育成を主とする全国高専で培ってきた、デジタルを活用した支援機器・支援アプリの開発的知見と、当事者への支援機器の提供をとおして得られた教育的支援のノウハウを整理統合することにより、特別支援教育に適用できる「デジタル支援技術開発リポジトリ：高専AT（アシスティブ・テクノロジー）ライブラリ教材」の開発と、その特別支援教育への社会実装を目的とする。 令和4年度は、教材やアプリの支援ツールの登録を行うために、高専ATライブラリのサーバー立ち上げおよびデータベースの基本機能の構築を行った。これと並行して、連携高専に対してAT研究シーズ集の追加調査を行い、特別支援教育に活用できる研究シーズの追加調査を実施した。また、特別支援学校の障がい児童・生徒がタブレット端末を活用しやすくするためのKME（ KOSEN Multi-functional Endpoint： 高専多機能支援端末）インタフェースを新規に開発し、教育教材との活用事例による評価を行った。また、視覚障がいを有する児童・生徒の読み書きを支援するTouchTalkerアプリの社会実装に向けた開発を行った。
