项目摘要

東京、大阪、名古屋を中心とする三大都市圏で投資に関心のある人を対象にグリーンボンドに対する支払意思額(Willingness to pay: WTP)を推計するためのオンラインアンケートを実施した。二段階二肢選択の仮想評価法（CVM）に基づくアンケート調査を実施し、有効回答者1500人分のデータサンプルを得た。研究ではグリーンボンドに投資することで得られる利回りをWTPと仮定し、最尤法を使った推計を行った。この方法から入手したサンプルの平均WTPは約1.1%であることがわかり、グリーンボンドに投資したいと考える投資家がグリーンボンドに求める利回りは、現況の日本における株式市場や不動産投資信託(REIT)から得られる利回り平均よりも低い値となっていることが明らかとなった。したがって、グリーンボンドには一定のプレミアムがあり、投資家はグリーンボンドに対して通常の金融商品と比べて低い利回りであっても購入したいと考える傾向があり、いわゆるグリーニアムが存在している可能性が示唆された。さらに研究では、環境問題への関心や利他的意識の度合いの違いによるグリーンボンドへの投資意欲への影響についても分析しており、環境意識や利他的意識が高い投資家の方がよりグリーンボンドへの投資意欲が高い傾向があることも明らかとなった。以上の本研究内容に関しては、ヨーロッパの環境資源経済学会(EAERE)が主催したグリーンボンドと環境金融に関するワークショップの場で発表した。なお論文の内容についてもワーキングペーパーとしてオンラインで公開されている。
