本研究の目的は、日中戦争以降の戦時期に南洋に仕事のために渡航した単身の日本人女性について明らかにすることである。2022年度の研究では、戦時期に海外に仕事を目的として渡航した若い単身女性について調査した。研究対象の地理的範囲を研究目的より広く設定しているのは、単身女性の職業のための海外渡航そのものがほとんど研究されていないからである。まずは当時仕事のために海外に移動した当事者や関係者の手記、そして彼女たちについて記述した同時代の新聞や雑誌メディアを調査した。中国大陸への移動に関しては『協和』（満鉄社員会誌）や『興亜』（華北交通社員会誌）なども参考にした。調査結果から暫定的な分類を示すと、①個人で渡航する、②国策会社など半官半民の大雇用主にまとめて雇用される、③軍属となる、というパターンに分けられる。①は朝鮮半島、台湾、中国大陸に比較的多く、②は満州や中国北部に多い。③は占領下の南洋に多い。また職場と女性の移動という観点から考えると、満鉄には親と共に移住した1.5世や満州生まれの2世が大正期からタイピスト、電話交換手、事務職などとして働き、一部は管理業務を行っていた。彼女たちの一部は戦時期も働き続けており、彼女たちが作った職場環境の中に、内地からの若い女性たちが新規参入したと考えられる。この傾向は戦時期に設立された華北交通ではより顕著で、植民地育ちの満鉄ベテラン女性社員が華北交通へ出向し、タイピストプールや電話交換所などの職場ルールを作り、内地から大量採用された女性たちを訓練した。南方の占領地へ渡航した女性たちの多くはタイピスト、事務職、酒保の店員、軍慰安施設の女給などとして働き、その一部は内地の海軍事務所などですでに働いていた。南方への移動についてはまだ調査は不十分だが、戦時期の女性たちの南洋への渡航を相対化するための比較軸はある程度作ることができたと考える。

The purpose of this study is to study the relationship between Japanese women and Southeast Asian officials during the period of Japanese-Chinese conflict. The 2022 annual study was conducted on overseas officials and women. The geographical scope of the research object is set in the middle of the study, and the occupation of the single woman is set in the middle of the study. This is a survey of contemporary news and events. the mainland of China China's mobile relations are related to "Xie He"(the association of railway members) and "Xing"(the association of North China traffic members). The results of the survey include tentative classification,(1) individual navigation,(2) national policy association,(3) semi-official and semi-civilian employment,(3) military affiliation, and (4) middle class classification. 1) Korea Peninsula, Taiwan, the mainland of China are more than one; 2) North of China is more than one. 3. The occupation of Southeast Asia is more complicated. For example, in the workplace, women move their jobs, telephone exchanges, and administrative services. The new rules for the female in the workplace environment and the female in the mainland have been incorporated into the examination. This trend is to establish a network of North China traffic, plant and education, and train female members in the North China traffic network. In the south, there are many women in the field of navigation, office, bartender, military comfort facilities, and a part of the mainland naval affairs office.
