1)情報ネットワーク技術のインパクトの評価の一端として、電子メイルに的を絞り、企業組織における電子メイルの導入・利用状況およびその影響を調査分析した。先ずは、企業225社の情報システム部門にアンケート調査を行いその概況を調べた。その中から利用に関して先進的な企業を11社選び、詳細なインタビュー調査を行った。多くの企業で、(1)情報の共有、(2)コミュニケーションの促進、(3)業務効率化 等の面で効果が上がっているとの回答があった。近い将来には、業務のネットワーク化(情報の共有化、共同作業など)が推進されリエンジニアリングに積極的に利用されると予想される。2)上記調査の他、マルチメディアの動向、とくに米国における進展状況の調査、インターネットの中で行われている各種サービスの状況についても調査した。3)情報ネットワーク技術が社会に与えるインパクトの実態を調査した。とくに、ネガティブなインパクトについて事例を調べ、その対策を検討した。今年度は、日本オペレーションズ・リサーチ学会の「情報ネットワーク研究部会」と合同で毎月1回の研究会を開いた。また、9月に合宿研究会を開き、各種調査のまとめを行うと共に、成果報告書の内容についても議論した。315ページの大部の成果報告書をまとめた。また、1月に科研費総合研究(A)の「情報・通信ネットワークに関する性能評価モデルの総合的研究」(代表 橋田 温)のグループと合同でシンポジウムを開催した。費目の内、消耗品が予定より大幅に増えたのは、アンケート分析のため統計関係のソフトを購入したためである。また、上記の合同シンポジウムの報文集代の一部を負担したため、その他の費目が予定より多くなっている。
