Since 1991, the investigators have been comprehensively researching on the life of local people in an unelectrified village, Ban Angkhai, and its neighboring village, Ban Omlong for a comparison, in northern Thailand under the permission of the government. During 2004 to 2006, series of field researches, supported by GIA for Science Research (C), were conducted on transfigurations of families and communities of local people focusing on socio-information development and commodity economic growth under the questionnaire, hearing and demographic surveys for seven times. The data were ethnographically analyzed by the cross analysis, etc., SPSS 10.0 J software.In old days, the villagers of unelectrified Ban Angkhai rarely received any socio-information because they had no access to TV. After the electrification at the end of 1996, a large quantity of external information, such as social and economical information was brought to them through TV. For these past ten years, local people have abruptly obtained abilities of information reception/recognition, evaluation and conduct. Judging from the analysis of questionnaire and hearing surveys held in May and August 2006, gradational classification about villagers' ability development of socio-information management is presumed to be on three levels (terms) : lower level (unelectrified term), advanced level (six years after electrification), and highly advanced level. Most of the villagers have reached the last level that is of the same in Ban Omlong. As for the physical internationalization, the major export crops in 2005 were reported by the Financial Committee of Ban Angkhai, but the weight of exportation was unclear. Household commodities, for examples, cars, electronic goods, originated abroad, were also answered, but recently the most of them are produced in Thailand under the regulation of Thai government.
