项目摘要

本重点領域研究の目的は、機械システムが真に人間の道具として役立つように、機械システムが人間に合わせて協調する新しいコミュニケ-ションと、情報処理の基礎研究を行うことである。平成2年度は、次のグル-プ毎に各研究テ-マを個別的に進め、総括班(本研究)が全体を把握しまとめた。(O)総括、(A)高次コミュニケ-ションの基礎研究グル-プ、(B)高次コミュニケ-ションの研究グル-プ、(C)知能インタフェ-スの研究グル-プ、(D)高次コミュニケ-ションシステム構築に関する研究グル-プ(O)は本研究全体を総括する。(A)では、高次コミュニケ-ションを情報の認知、理解、推論、さらに行動に至る総合的なプロセスとして捉え、この立場から本重点領域研究の基礎を与える理論的研究を行った。(B)では、人間と機械が協調するための高次コミュニケ-ションの研究を知識と知識の相互作用の観点から推進した。(C)では、メディアを通しての人間ー機械間のコミュニケ-ションの動的モデルと、知識の形成過程について研究した。(D)では、高次コミュニケ-ションを実現するためのシステム構成論の研究を行った。平成2年10月30日には、公開シンポジウム「知的通信の実現を目指して」を、さらに平成3年3月9日には「ブレイン・コンピュ-ティング・シンポジウム」盛会裡に開催した。また平成3年3月1〜2日には、各グル-プ・メンバの研究成果を発表し討論する集会を行い、本重点領域まとめを行った。
