项目摘要

本研究は、既存の統計デ-タの解析と実際の調査により、専門職業従事者・特に研究者と芸術家の生活時間を明らかにしようとするものである。本年度は、「国勢調査」及び「社会生活基本調査」の既存のデ-タを分析することから着手した。この分析で、研究者や技術者を含む専門的、技術的職業従事者がこの10年間で急激に増大していることが裏付けられた。1970年と比較すると、1980年における専門的、技術的職業従事者の内訳の主なるものは、技術者が27%、健康医療従事者が25%、大学以外の教員20%、科学研究者および大学教員3.5%である。1975年以降をみると、電器技術者、情報処理技術者、機械技術者を中心に87万人から173万人とほぼ倍増している。看護婦(士)や医療検査技師が15万人ほど増加している。増加率では専門職業、スポ-ツ家が150%増、科学研究者が50%増えている。新しく増加する職業には若い世代が多く、衰退する職業は高齢化していることが明らかになった。また、専門的・技術的職業従事者の生活行動の特色を多変量解析などで統計分析し、他の職業従事者と異なった側面を検証した。就業中の生活行動の違いは余暇時間の使い方に現れており、学習研究時間は、有業者一般では一日平均7分に対し、専門職業者では42分である。趣味・娯楽も一日平均30分で、他の有業者よりも長い。さらに、上記の傾向を実際の調査によって検証する作業に入った。それは、それぞれの生活行動の量・順序・頻度を、把握するための生活時間のデ-タを得て、生活の構造を描き出すためのものである。研究者・芸術家では、仕事と自由時間の弁別が難しいので、二次活動と三次活動の相互関連を視野に入れ、仕事と自由時間というようなフィルタ-を通して、どのような構造を持っているか、記述的に抽出するためのパイロット調査を開始した。まず研究者411人・芸術家200人に対してアンケ-ト調査を依頼し、それぞれ現在約124通・30通回収している段階である。
