本年度の研究実績は以下のとおりである。1.三井文庫に架蔵されている『三井家記録文書目録』7冊、7万点の中より、長崎貿易に関する史料1700点弱を抽出し、その表題、年代、作成者、原所蔵者、番号を、当科学研究費で購入したパソコンに入力し、データベースを作成した。そこには越後屋長崎方の経営史料だけでなく、長崎出島売込の青貝屋、紀州藩長崎産物御用、対馬藩の朝鮮輸入品直買、大坂銅座、対琉球鹿児島藩関係等の史料が含まれている。これらの抽出され、パソコンに入力されたデータベースに、分類項目を作成し、選択、分類して『財団法人三井文庫所蔵長崎貿易関係史料目録』として刊行した。2.筑波大学や京都市で開催された当重点領域の研究会に出席し、この領域研究の情報を収集した。3.長崎会所で輸入品を落札する五ヶ所本商人と長崎商人、京都、大坂の問屋や仲買などの長崎貿易に携わる商人の史料の所在確認調査を長崎市や京都市、大阪市、滋賀県で行うとともに、九州大学九州文化史研究施設、長崎県立図書館において長崎貿易関係文書をマイクロフィルムにて収集した。また大阪市道修町の薬種仲間文書と慶応義塾大学の永貝家(本商人)文書をマイクロフィルムに撮影した。
