巨大ひずみの導入過程が異なるバルク材形状不変加工や表層巨大ひずみ加工,極限巨大ひずみ加工を、いろいろな条件(ひずみ量,ひずみ勾配,圧力等)のもとで加え、高密度格子欠陥組織形成に及ぼす影響を調べた。高次に精密制御制御可能な高信頼性・高品質な巨大ひずみ材料を作製し、構造特性や力学特性の多面的解析評価のために、他の計画班に供与した。巨大ひずみ加工因子と解析評価結果をもとに、超微細組織の形成メカニズムを解明した。
