前年度でおこなった民間における抄本記録をもとにした祭祀演劇の実態の調査の過程で、その方式や内容に、宮廷儀礼の影響を受けている状況が明らかになった。その知見をもとに、今年度は、明代以前の宮廷儀礼や演劇をもとに復活再生した清代の宮廷演劇の実態とその内容傾向について分析し、民間祭祀との関連や、表現内容の変容、上演目的の変化を明らかすることに重点をおいた。その検討において重要な文献記録は档案である。档案は主に、宮中で専門に祭礼や演劇に携わった宦官が記録したものであり、これを分析対象とした。民間はもとより、宮中においても、伝承は口伝でおこなわれるの炉基本である。しかし正確さを期すためにおこなわれた記録は極めて多い。その記録が、档案であり、手書きで脚本や演出、衣裳、道具などを詳細に記録してある。清王朝の崩壊とともにすでに散逸したものがほとんどであるが、近年、散逸資料を集めて故宮博物院蔵の蔵書として印刷出版された。したがって、この分析には『清代南府與昇平署劇本與档案』など印刷出版された手書き影印本を用いた。宮廷演劇は総称して「承応戯」とよばれるが、その目的に応じて、年中行事の際におこなう月令承応戯、毎月朔望日の時期の祭礼に応じておこなう朔望承応戯、冠婚葬祭におこなう開場承応戯、承応宴戯がある。これら承応戯の行われた時期、目的、場所、内容、規模、担当者の所属などについて、档案を分析整理していった。さらに、演劇ジャンル、音楽表現、戯曲表現、構造などを分析した。これによって、各承応戯の内容、演出傾向、上演目的などを明らかにし、民間祭祀との関連を位置づけることができた。
