本研究の目的は、母親が復職しても母乳育児の継続を希望しているならば、その母親が母乳育児を続けられるようにするために、母子と関わる保育士が母乳育児を支援できるようになるための介入プログラムを開発することを目的としている。平成29年度は、介入プログラムの開発のために、①母乳育児、保育士教育などに関する現状の把握、②質問紙調査、インタビュー調査の準備を行った。①については、前年度から引き続き、母乳育児に関する書籍、文献を収集し母乳育児の現状を把握した。また、保育士養成時に使用している教科書等、「保育士」、「母乳」をキーワードに文献検索システムを使用して主に国内の文献を収集し、日本の保育士教育における、母乳育児、保育園での乳児の栄養管理等の歴史や現状を把握した。その結果、保育園では母親が搾乳した母乳の管理を負担に感じていることもあるため、保育園で預かっている間、搾母乳を園児に与えることに肯定的にとらえていないこと、保育士の養成時には母乳育児への支援について十分な時間をかけて教育をしていない現状がわかった。②については、①の文献検討をもとに、保育士への質問紙の作成をすすめていった。回答が負担にならないよう、10分程度で回答できるよう配慮するため、質問紙の項目を修正していた。また、質問紙調査、インタビュー調査を行うために、研究者が所属する研究倫理審査委員会へ申請するための書類の準備、質問紙を配布する保育園のリストアップを行った。
