项目摘要

本研究は仏領インドシナ時代のベトナムに焦点をあてて、ベトナムで生まれたフランス人作家とフランス式の教育を受けたベトナム人作家について研究することを目的としている。本年度は研究代表者が2022年9月13日から2023年3月31日まで産休と育休を取得したことにより研究が中断されてしまったが、2点の研究成果があった。まず、2022年6月4日に立教大学で行われた日本フランス語フランス文学会全国大会ワークショップに参加した。ワークショップではカナダ・ケベック州の先住民イヌーの文学についての発表を行った。口承文学を常としていたイヌーの人々がフランス語で詩や小説を書くことの意味を探った。ワークショップの参加は、本研究のテーマであるフランス語を用いた文化活動の研究とポストコロニアル的観点からの考察を行うことができた。発表後は多くの研究者と意見交換を行い、イヌー語とフランス語に関するあらなた問題を発見することができた。次に2022年12月にはデュラスと同時代に活躍したフランスの哲学者ロラン・バルトの講義録の翻訳も出版することができた。講義録は19世紀の作家バルザックの『サラジーヌ』を分析したものである。バルトは20世紀を代表する哲学者であり文芸批評家である。彼の思想や文芸批評は当時の小説家たちに多大な影響を与えている。デュラスもまた作家活動を通して、バルトを非常に意識しており、彼の名を付した短いテクストを書いている。そのためバルトの講義録の翻訳書も本研究の研究成果の1つと考えられる。本年度は短い期間ながらも一定の成果を残すことができたと考えている。
