英文摘要
Laser shock experiments were carried out to investigate the equations of state(EOS) for silicate materials under impact-induced extreme conditions. Based on time-resolved emission spectra, we conclude that electrons behave as an important energy reservoir during impact-driven processes via endothermic shock-induced ionization and exothermic electron recombination. A number of previous studies related to silicate vaporization should be re-visited because the widely used EOS's do not consider such electron behaviors.
