Analytical results for lacustrine sediments in Paleolake Darkhad and Lake Hovsgol and their catchment survey reveal that : 1) gigantic floods(glacial lake outburst flood) happened in the transition interval from glacial to interglacial in Darkhad, 2) large sediment discharge into the lake was detected in Hovsgol sediments in nearly the same interval, suggesting that the transition interval was under unstable hydro-geomorphological conditions.
