Gathering a lot of related books and archives in Canada (Royal Ontario Museum, Library of Toronto University, Toronto Public Library, Library & Archives Canada, Fur Institute of Canada, Canadian Museum of Civilization, McCord Museum of Canadian History, Hudson's Bay Company Archives; Manitoba Museum, Environmental Library of Winnipeg, City of Vancouver Archives, Vancouver Museum), and Japan(The Diplomatic Record Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, National Diet Library, The Yokohama Archives of History Hakodate City Central Library, Hakodate Takadaya Kahei archives, Komaba Library of Tokyo University、National Research Institute of Fisheries Science, Fisheries Research Agency、Slavic Research Center Library of Hokkaido University、Hokkaido Prefectural Library,, Hokkaido Museum of Northern Peoples), we took a general survey and fundamental analysis on the history of US and Canadian Northwest Territories and Northern Pacific Fur-frontier, and took a research on the labor system of the Frontier, including slavery on Native peoples, problems of extensive eco-crisis in the areas, and international treaties on fur-bearing sea animals. The commercial and destructive fur trade operating around Northern sea, reached to modernized Japan in the late 19^<th> century.
