项目摘要

本研究は、音楽訓練という後天的な要素に焦点を当て、音楽の訓練を受けることで音楽の美しさへの感受性がどのように育まれるのか明らかにすることが目的である。本研究の遂行にあたり、初年度である令和４年度は主に先行研究の徹底調査と実験のデザインを行った。先行研究の調査では、本研究の中心概念である「美的反応」の定義と問題点を洗い出し、ここ30年の音楽に関わる哲学・心理学・実験美学の研究において、「美的反応」がどのように扱われてきたか調べた。先行研究調査の成果は、2022年度音楽知覚認知学会秋季発表会にて口頭発表した。そして、実験二つの計画を立てた。一つ目の実験では音楽の小さな要素である和音を用い、和音の音響的性質と聴き手の感じる心地良さの関係を調べる。そして聴き手の感じる心地良さが聴き手の音楽経験のレベルとどう関係しているか検討する。実験は、2023年５月に実施しており、今後データを統計分析して、結果をまとめる予定である。2023年８月に行われる国際学会(The 17th International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition)で発表する予定である。二つ目の実験では、音楽作品を用い、聴き手の音楽経験によって音楽に感じる美しさがどのように変化するのか調べる。実験では、参加者にさまざまな音楽を聴いてもらい、「美しさ」、「心地良さ」、「緊張感」を評定してもらう。さらに、参加者の音楽経験に関する質問紙調査も行う。参加者の「美しさ」、「心地良さ」、「緊張感」の評定が音楽経験によって違いが出るのか統計分析を行う。この研究の成果は、音楽の美的判断という脳の高次の機能が形成される過程の一部を明らかにでき、特に後天的な要因の音楽訓練の影響を明らかにする。それと同時に、音楽教育の重要性を再認識させることができるだろう。
