【フィールド調査】本年度は国内フィールドワークを主に行った。2021年度は6月から3月まで計7回、これまで継続的に調査対象劇団としてきた小劇場劇団Sの県外での活動に帯同した他、小劇場劇団Sを中心とする京都府内の小劇場演劇界における様々な活動にて参与観察を行った。これらの調査に研究者は劇団活動のアーキビストとして参加しており、これによって新たな論点を発掘している。アーキビストとして劇団の活動に関わることは、演劇というメディアの「束の間性」との対峙の経験である。演劇自体は原理的に保存・複製ができず、それは劇団が新たな客層を開拓したり、社会関係の外から評価を得ることを阻む障壁としても機能する。研究者はこの立場から今後も調査を行う予定である。【文献調査】京都を中心とした国内の小劇場、及び韓国の小劇場に関する文献の収集とレビューを行った。【研究発表】研究発表においても一定の成果をあげている。6月の関西社会学会での発表および5月と9月の学会誌への投稿を行い、小劇場演劇人の象徴闘争における「純粋さ」の維持戦略を論じた。査読論文は2022年度の再投稿に向けて現在、リライト中である。【その他の活動】2022年1月25日に大阪日日新聞の美術コラム「美術 いま関西で」において展覧会評が掲載された。本記事は研究対象劇団が開催した展覧会を扱ったものである。
