项目摘要

今年度は、現代ロシアの自国史像の分析と、スターリン死後のソ連における自国史像をめぐる論争の分析という二つの課題を中心に研究をおこなった。まず前者について、ソ連解体後のロシアの自国史教育と教科書に関する政策、ならびに知識人の論争を中心に検討した。分析の結果90年代以降の自国史教育をめぐる論争の背景には80年代後半の政治改革の過程で政治的抑圧の実態など否定的な史実が急激に明らかにされたこと、ソ連解体後の生活水準の低下や国際的地位の低下、犯罪の増大といった状況が、生徒が自らの国家に誇りを持てるような自国史像が必要だという主張を広め、ソ連時代の肯定的側面にも注目すべきだという要求を生み出したことを明らかにした。それと同時に、史実の解釈の多様化と教科書出版の自由化により統一的な試験が困難となったこと、教科書の水準に格差が生まれたことが、歴史教育の内容と水準を政府の介入により統一すべきだという見解を広めたことも指摘した。これに加えて教育省の推薦する最新の自国史教科書の内容を分析し、現在の教科書がペレストロイカ以降に発展したソ連史の批判的考察を受け継いでいることを示した。次に第二の課題として、1953年のスターリン死後の政治改革と自国史像の見直しをめぐる論争を、学術誌『歴史の諸問題』の活動を中心に分析した。本研究ではソ連共産党中央委員会の文書や代表的な研究教育機関の党組織の議論の速記録、歴史家の個人文書など、これまで十分に利用されてこなかった一次史料を詳細に分析することにより、当時の論争を当局の政策決定過程だけではなく歴史家の議論を含めて明らかにした。それにより、同誌に対する批判が政治指導者たちだけでなく多数の歴史家にも共有されていたこと、その批判は1956年後半のポーランド、ハンガリーでの政治情勢の変化の後に拡大したことを明らかにした。
