本研究は研究Ⅰにおいて、プログラム開発に関する事前調査、アプリケーション開発を行う。2022年度は、看護師が行う化粧を用いたケアに関する研究について調査するため文献レビューを行った。文献検索には医学中央雑誌Web版を使用した。キーワードは、「化粧」「患者」「看護」にて、会議録、レビューを除く原著論文161件を分類した。うち、化粧ケアを用いて患者と関わったことの記述がある文献について分析対象とした。看護師が行った化粧ケアは、エンゼルケア（死後のケア）、精神科患者への化粧を用いた集団ケアや個別ケア、高齢者や認知症患者へのレクリエーションやリハビリテーション的ケア、疾患による外観上の変化を抱える患者を対象としたアピアランスケア、整形外科患者を対象とした入院中の化粧使用による変化を調査した内容、上記のカテゴリーに分類された。次に、精神症状をもつ対象への調査について、看護師が化粧ケアを用いることで得られた効果について述べている内容を、化粧ケア効果の感覚として分析した。効果の測定方法には課題があるが、看護師の観察をもとにした効果は、化粧プログラムの開発に役立つと考える。上記文献の他に、入院中の患者の化粧に関する調査はあったが、地域で生活をする精神疾患を有する方の現状や化粧ニーズに関する調査は現段階では見つからなかった。患者のニーズ調査実施にむけて、精神疾患を持つ患者にとっての化粧とは何かを明らかにするため引き続き文献レビューを行う。
