22年度は国内での史資料の収集を中心に研究を遂行した。解放後のスポーツ状況のなかでも、YMCAの活動に着目して史資料の収集を行なった。本課題において着目しているのは張権という人物であり、彼のライフヒストリーを追いかけている。張権に関わる先行研究としては、彼に直接関わるものとして2017年にユ・ソンヨンによって記述された「越北体育人張権の体育活動と思想」韓国体育学会誌第57巻第2号があげられる。本研究は本課題に大いに参考になるものであり、張権の活動に関わる史実が記述されており、本課題ではこれらを参考にしつつも、他の朝鮮知識人らとの関係の中で張権のスポーツ活動がどのように位置付けられるのかを検討している。とりわけ呂運亨との関係が分かる資料が発見できればと考えている。今年度はそうした資料の発見には至らなかったため、これらも含め新たな史実の発見に努めているところである。22年度の調査では、張権に関わる韓国の新聞資料の収集、ならびに彼の活動や言説を『青年』などを含む雑誌資料から全て収集することができている。現在、収集した史資料の分析中であるが、不明な点もまだ多くあり、前述した点も踏まえて23年度に明らかにできていない点に関わる史資料の収集を再度行わねばならない。また同時に植民地期の朝鮮におけるキリスト教の系譜やYMCAの役割についても本課題を進めていくうえで重要な知識となるため、その他の関連文献などから情報を収集しているところである。
