项目摘要

権威主義は経済成長に資するのか。権威主義体制と経済発展との間柄にはどのような特徴があるのか。経済成長は権威主義体制の脆弱性を高めるか。本研究は、近年影響力を増す権威主義体制国家について、その代表格である大国、ロシアと中国を中心に、権威主義体制と経済発展の関係を体系的に明らかにすることを目的としている。権威主義体制の研究は、主として「民主主義の後退と権威主義の台頭」という政治的文脈で進んでいるが、経済発展と権威主義体制の関連を正面から検証した成果は不十分な状況にあるといえよう。権威主義国家が関心を集めているのは、経済大国となった中国の躍進がある。分析対象として中国に関してこれまでに蓄積された研究に比べ、ロシアについては体系的によく知られていないことが多い。ロシアも中国も国家主導型で市場経済を導入した大国として共通性もあるが、違いも多くあり、その比較検証の研究成果も十分ではないだろう。そこで本研究では、ロシアと中国における「権威主義体制と市場経済の結合」を支えるメカニズムの比較分析を試みる。その際に軸となるのが、国家と企業、政府と企業家との間に生成させる特有の相互浸透関係を踏まえた分析である。具体的には、国家による経済への関与をフォーマル（公式）とインフォーマル（非公式）な制度や慣行の連関を手がかりとして解明するのが目的である。初年度の実績としては、ロシアに関するうごきを中心に、論文や報告を行なった。複数の査読誌への掲載が実現し、国内外での研究報告も行なった。
