コロナ禍における研究計画実施に向けた検討が必要である．そこで，(1)実施に向けた準備・調整，(2)データ取得について，共同研究者である東登志夫（長崎大学・ 医歯薬学総合研究科（保健学科）・教授），東祐二（国立障害者リハビリテーションセンター研究所部長）の両氏から多くのアドバイスを得た．(1)実施に向けた準備・調整事項主要評価項目の測定に用いる三軸加速度センサは接触式センサであるため，被験者へセンサを取り付ける際，十分なソーシャルディスタンスを確保できない．しかし，非接触式センサであれば被験者とソーシャルディスタンスを確保できる．そこで，①非接触式計測機器（Kinect）の選定，②非接触式計測機器（Kinect）にて対象動作のデータが測定可能かの検証を行った．業者のデモを通じて，機器の特長と制限事項を把握した．検討・検証の結果，非接触式センサの導入を決定した．(2)データ取得センサを非接触式に変更し，研究者が所有する「外装をはずした構造体のみの歩行補助具」を使用することで，測定の精度を向上させた。また，実際の被験者（高齢者）の測定実施に先立ち，健常者（大学生）の測定を実施した．また、被験者所有の歩行補助具について，測定のために外装を省く作業は適切でないと判断し，研究者が所有する歩行補助具を使用することとした．
