项目摘要

初めて涙に心理学的にアプローチしたDarwin（1872）以来，感情的な刺激に反応して涙を流すこと（感情的落涙）は，人に固有の行為であると考えられ，人の適応に繋がる涙の機能（効果）の検証が進められてきた。しかし，従来はネガティブ場面での涙の普遍的な機能（e.g.,援助の引き出し）を問うものが多く，「涙がどのような場面で心理生理的及び社会的機能を有するのか」という人の適応性に関わる涙の機能（課題１）や「どのような個人が，どのような場面で涙を流しやすいか」という涙の生起の個人差（課題２）に関しては殆ど研究が進んでいなかった。本研究では、他者との関係における自己の捉え方を意味する文化的自己観（相互独立的自己観／相互協調的自己観）の個人差の視座から課題1・２を明らかにする。具体的には，自己観が反映された特定の落涙場面で，特定の自己観を有した個人が落涙に対してどのように反応するのかを解明し、課題１を解決する。そして、落涙の類型化及び自己観との関連を解明し、課題２を解決する。今年度は、先行研究を整理し、個人差や文脈の違いに着目した落涙の生起と機能に関する総説論文を執筆した。加えて、課題１に対して、自己観を反映した落涙場面を複数作成し、予備調査を実施した。予備調査の結果を踏まえ、再度刺激を作成した。来年度は、日米のサンプルからデータを収集・分析し、論文として発表するとともに、課題２にも着手する予定である。
