项目摘要

ベンケイソウ科に属する種の外部形態の形質状態と地理的分布を調査し、分岐図を作成し系統解析を行った。1.ベンケイソウ科全体の系統を推定するための基礎として、アジア大陸で著しく分化したマンネングサ亜科イワベンケイ属の属内分類群のレベルでの系統推定を試みた。(1)性(雌雄同株/雌雄異株),子房(上位/半下位),葯(底着/腹着),花序(伸長型/平開型,非総状/総状、および、多数花/少数花),成熟個体の根茎葉(無柄/有柄,葉状/鱗片状,同型鱗片葉/葉状・二型鱗片葉,有柄葉状/二型的鱗片葉、および、残存性/落葉性),花茎の葉数(多数/少数)ならびに前年の花茎(落葉性/残存性)の13彩質について原始性・派生性を特定し、分岐図を作成した。(2)従来の分類体系との整合性を調べたところ、Primuloides亜属Smithia節、Crassipedes亜属、Rhodiola亜属Rhodiola節は原始形質のみによって定義される分類群であることが分かった。(3)この結果からベンケイソウ科においては現段階の知見では属レベルの系統関係の推定でさえ困難であると推察された。従ってベンケイソウ科では、分類体系を確立するうえでの問題がどこにあるかを示す作業仮説的な分岐図作成を今後の目的とすべきであると結論された。2.同亜科マンネングサ属ヒメレンゲその近縁種群ならびにOrea-des群のSedum obtusipetalum を例に地理的隔離にともなう形質の分化を調べた。これらの分類群での調査結果や従来の知見を総合するとマンネングサ亜科では、同緯度に沿う東西方向と同経度に沿う南北方向の地理的隔離分布では、前者の形態形質での分化は進んでおり別種あるいは亜種レベルで分類されるが、後者ではほとんど分化が見られないことが分かった。後者の地理的隔離はほとんど最終氷期後に起きたと推定された。しかしながら、地理的分布パターンからの知見を系統推定に取り込むことは非常に困難であると考えられた。
