タンザニア国内のできるだけ広い地域において相当数のバントゥ系諸語を調査し, それらの構造(音韻・文法その他)を言語学的に記述・分析をする. 同時にバントゥ祖語の姿のより正格な推定, その発祥の地の推定, 及びバントゥ祖語から現在のバントゥ諸語への分岐の過程の推定に必要なデータを, タンザニアのバントゥ諸語に関して収集・分析する.今回タンザニアにおいて調査したバントゥ系諸言語は, 当初予定していたのは17言語であったが, 20言語を超える.この内日本側研究分担者が調査したのは下記のとおりである.ハヤ語, スクマ語, ニャムウエジ語, ニランバ語, ニャトゥル語, ランギ語, パレ語, ゴゴ語, ズィグア語, ザラモ語, マトゥンビ語, マコンデ語, ベナ語, ニハ語, ニャキュサ語, マンダ語, チャガ語キボソ方言, チャガ語マチャメ方言, チャガ語ヴンジョ語方言.これらそれぞれの言語について, 2千語以上の単語と, 音韻分析(アクセント分析を含む)及び文法分析に必要なデーターを収集した.また, タンザニアのコイサン系言語の一つであるサンダウェ語の調査も行なった.タンザニア側研究分担者は, サンバー語, ボンディ語, ズィグア語の比較研究を進めた.以上調査した諸言語は, タンザニアのほぼ全域を網羅する主要な言語であり, これによりタンザニア国内のバントゥ系諸言語の状況が把握できた.上記成果を基に, 今後バントゥ諸語の比較研究の基礎となる個別言語の記述・分析を行なうことにより, 立ち遅れている世界のバントゥ諸語の調査に頁献するとともに, バントゥ諸語比較言語学を精密なものに発展させる.

To improve the quality of the speech, we should pay attention to the quality of the speech. The results of this paper provide a basis for the future comparative study of various languages. The description and analysis of individual languages should be carried out in order to establish a comprehensive approach to the study of various languages in the world.
