本研究の目的は, 異なる文化圏に属する人々の意識構造に関する比較研究のための方法論を確立し, それを具体的に適用して, 国際理解および国際協力のための基盤となるべき基本的知見を得ることである. ここで中心的な役割を果たすのは, 連鎖的国際比較調査法とそれに基づく統計的データ解析法である. この研究調査の意義・特色をまとめると, 1)連鎖的方法論により日本, ヨーロッパ諸国, アメリカにおける意識構造の同異の姿を描き出し, 同異の本質的な部分を普遍的理論に基づいて明らかにすることを狙いとする. 2)日米両国においては継続調査になるので, 時系列比較によって意識構造の基盤的部分と可変的・流動的部分を析出する. 3)調査結果の空間的比較, すなわち文化の相違度の連鎖的比較によって, 意識の基底的部分と流動的部分との関連の形態を析出する. 4)以上の検討を通じて, 高度産業社会の進展にともなう社会環境の類似性の増進がその社会に住む人々の意識にどういう面までの類似性を促進するかを明らかにし, 基底的部分と流動的部分との関係の動向を計量的に解明する. 5)以上により, 真の国際理解に資することができる.62年度は, 連鎖的国際比較を具体的に実行するため, ヨーロッパ3ヶ国(西ドイツ, フランス, イギリス)を対象に面接調査を実施した. まず, 61年度に選定作業を進めた調査票原案(約100項目)を元にプリテストを62年6月〜7月に実施し, 主に, (1)質問文の翻訳, ワーディング, (2)質問文の理解, 内容の適切さ, (3)面接調査員の回答記録様式ーとくに中間的回答肢のとり扱い, (4)質問項目の質問順, (5)社会経済的基本属性項目のとり扱いについて検討した.社会経済的基本属性項目については, 各国の分類(定義)がその国の制度等と結びついているため, 比較に当り, 共通性を確保することは大変困難であった. (たとえば, 学歴, 職業, 調査地点の属する行政単位の人口規模(地域の都市郡)別等は, 各国共同の分類は存在しない)回答記録様式(回答選択肢の順, 中間的選択肢を用意するかどうか), 多肢選択項目で回答リストを使用するか読み上げ方式をとるか等の調査方式は, 各国の調査実施上の実態に沿って, 比較可能性を確保する方策をとり, 検討を重ね, 各国で使用する本調査用調査票を作成した. また, 自由回答型式の質問が国際比較研究に有効であるとの認識を得たので, プリテストで調査可能性を確認し, 本調査にとり入れた(3項目). この自由回答型式質問の回答の多次元的パタン解析は, フランスの共同研究者ルバール教授により研究されてきた. 各国語による大規模比較研究の解析は今回が初めてであり, 成果が期待される.本調査は62年9月〜10月に有権者(満18歳以上市民)を対象にする層別多段抽出(イギリス), 地域層別代表標本法(フランス, 西ドイツ)で実施され(有効回経数, イギリス1043, フランス1013, 西ドイツ1000), 現在データ・クリーニングと共通ファイルの作成を進め, 63年度実施予定(日本, アメリカ, ハワイ)の比較調査をまって, 総合分析を行う予定である.

The purpose of this study is to establish a methodology for comparative research on the structure of human consciousness in different cultural circles, and to obtain basic knowledge of international understanding and international cooperation. The significance of this research is as follows: 1) The methodology of linkage is based on the common theory of consciousness structure in Japan, China and other countries. 2)In the investigation of Japanese culture, the time series comparison shows that the basic part of consciousness structure and the movable part are separated out. 3)The spatial comparison of the investigation results, the comparison of the relative degree of cultural contradiction, the separation of the basic part of consciousness, the flowing part and the related morphology. 4)The above discussion makes it clear that the similarity of the social environment in the development of a highly industrialized society is increasing, and the similarity of the consciousness of the people in the society is increasing. 5)The international comparison of the chain in 2006 was carried out in detail, and the survey was carried out in response to the above questions. In 2006, the original investigation form (about 100 items) was selected and carried out from June to July of 2006. The main contents are: (1) the translation of the questioning text, (2) the understanding of the questioning text, and the appropriateness of the content;(3) the answer record of the interview investigator;(4) the order of the questioning items.(5) Basic attribute items of social economy. The basic attributes of social systems include classification of countries (definition), organization of national systems, etc., comparison, commonality, assurance of commonality, etc. (For example, the population size of administrative unit (area and city), etc., of survey location, etc., exists in common classification among countries) The answer recording formula (answer selection order, middle selection purpose), the multi-limb selection item The answer recording method, etc., the survey implementation status of each country Comparison of possibilities to ensure that the policy, the review, the use of this survey questionnaire to create countries This study was conducted to identify the possibility of investigation. The survey was conducted from September to October of 1962.(Citizens over 18 years old)(English, German) is implemented (with return number, English 1043, English 1013, German 1000), and the creation of common elements is now progressing. Comparative investigation and comprehensive analysis are scheduled for 2063.
