本研究では, 研究計画に記したように, 1.まず最近ほとんど復刻されている十八世紀の主として哲学関係の原典の100点近く(著者数は約30)を購入または収集し, それらの中に見られる原ラテン語併記個所, および例えばChristian Wolffのようにほとんど同じ文書について羅独両語によるものが存在する場合, あるいは羅独対応が明示された原著者ないし編纂者によるRegisterからすべての当該語彙を拾いあげ,2.これらを出典, 記載頁とともにパーソナル・コンピュータによってデータベース化し(約4メガバイト, 語彙数約1,500語),3.さらにこのデータ・ベースに詳細な分析と評価を加え(対応関係の吟味, 表記法の検討など),4.研究者間に公表可能な形に整える という方法をとった.目下最終的な整理を行なっている段階であるので, 以上のように数量は厳密に記すことができないが, 計画は予想を上回る形で達成された. 今後このデータ・ベースに基づいて, さらに次のような研究を行なう予定である. 1.十八世紀羅独・独羅哲学語彙集の作成・出版 2.学術語としてのドイツ語の成立過程の分析 3.主たる哲学用語の意味の確定 上記2についてはすでに雑誌論文として第一段階のものを発表ずみである.
