感圧フィルムは超低圧用(5kg〜25kg/cm2)を使用し, ゴムマットとアクリル板からなる増感度装置を作成し, 測定圧力域を100g〜10kg/cm2とした. X線撮影で扁平足など足部変形が存在しないことを確認した20才代の男20名, 女20名について, 片脚立位とメトロノームに合わせて歩行し, cadence80, 100, 120のfoor frintを記録した. 健常成人の代表的圧力パターンは, 最大荷重が立位では踵部と第2MP関節に相当する部分と母趾に存在し, 歩行するとcadence80では第2・3MP関節と母趾の荷重が増加し, cadence100, 120では踵部の荷重が増加する. このパターンに性差はない. 扁平足10足(X線撮影で確認した)について同様の方法でfoot printを記録した. 扁平足では立位, 歩行とも前足部の荷重が一様で, 荷重圧は少なく, 健常成人の如く, 第2・3MP関節に最大荷重が存在しない. 足趾を除く足底を前足部, 中足部, 後足部と三等分し, その部分の圧力を算出すると, 健常成人では男女とも立位では後足部の荷重が大きいが, 歩行では減少し, 前足部の荷重が増加する. 扁平足では中足部の荷重が立位, 歩行とも健常成人に比べ大きい. 前足部の荷重は歩行時でも健常成人のように増加しない. つぎに外反母趾40足について検討した. 軽度の外反母趾では第2・第3MP関節の荷重の増加が立位でみられ, 歩行で顕著となる. 母趾種子骨脱臼が生じ, 母趾の外側偏位が著しく, 長母趾屈筋が作用しないような程度の強い外反母趾では第1MP関節の荷重が増加し, 母趾の荷重は減少する. これも歩行で顕著となる. 足底を三等分し, その部分の圧力を算出すると, 外反母趾の程度が強い例では中足部の荷重が増加し, 扁平足となっている. 手術により外反母趾を矯正した例では, 第1MP関節の荷重は減少し, 母趾の荷重が増加している.
