项目摘要

本研究・調査では沖縄県那覇市を日本と東南アジア都市との接点と位置づけ分析対象とした. 那覇市を中心とし, その比較, 類似のためにバンコック, マニラ, ジャカルタを取りあげた.分析方法としては(A)都市空間特性の分析(B)不良住宅地の調査結果の解析, 都市における出身地別コミュニティ解析を行なった.分析結果, まず都市形態としては「多核的な都市構造」「高密低層な住居形態」「混合的土地利用」が指摘できる. このような構造, 形態が形成される基盤となっている都市に対する市民の精神構造として, 次の点を明らかにした. (i)共同体, 郷土志向(ii)小宇宙的空間観, 非拡大性, (iii)場所性の重複自然の尊重(iv)部分解による解決, (v)重層的, 複合的共存性, を指摘した. 政策提案, 近代都市計画の持つ問題点を分析対象地域(那覇及び東南アジア都市)での結果を踏えて, 風土化による問題解決として「風土都市計画の具体的原則」を示した. 」(1)コンパクトシティ:都市活動はだらしのない分散ではなく適度の集中が必要である. (2)混合まざり会いの必要:土地利用において単純化は望ましくない. (3)人間的尺度の尊重:計画では「小さなもの」「身近なもの」の値打ちの追求に独創性を発揮する必要がある. (4)共有意識への配慮:潜在的な共有, 共同意識の創出を尊重, 配慮すべきである.
