本研究は、昭和64年度から2年間にわたるものであるが、研究目的は、多極分散型国土形成について、東北地方の地域社会を対象に実証するものである。その際、理論的には地域社会発展・自立のミニマムの検討,実証的方法としては地域類型化にもとづく細密化が内容とされていた。しかし12回の研究会で明らかにされたことは、(1)都市ー農村を問わず、今日の地域社会づくりに関する理論的実証的検討は、相当すすんでおり、むしろその整理が必要なこと、(2)対象とした東北地方は、特色ある地域が分散的に存在し、その中でも首都圏との関係で広域都市化しつつ発展する地域と北東北のように過疎化の新時代を迎えている地域など構造的にも多様である。従ってそれを統一的全体的に把握する必要がある、(3)しかし、一部の地域社会の実証も必要,ということであった。上記の研究会にあわせて、今年度は南東北広域都市圏の調査にあわせて,北東北の資料収集につとめた。地域調査については、新潟県燕三条の洋食器産業の技術革新の実態調査を行なった。目下報告書の作成にむけて課題を整理中であるが,その内容は、(1)研究経過と東北地方問題,(2)東北各県の「綜合計画」の検討,(3)東北地方地域開発論の分析(東北地方社会論を含くむ),(4)新潟県洋食器産業の技術革新、(5)内発的地域社会発展理論の検討となっている。地域の実態分析をあわただしくまとめるよりも、問題空間を拡大、研究者の今後の仕事につなげる方が、研究主題の追及にかえってよいとする判断が、そこにはたらいた。

The purpose of this study is to prove the formation of multipolar decentralized land and the regional and social aspects of Northeast China. (3) The necessity of realizing the unity of the whole society This year's survey of urban areas in the Northeast and South China regions was conducted by the research institute, and the data collection in the Northeast and North China regions was conducted by the research institute. During the regional survey, we conducted an actual survey on the technological innovation of the chestnut ware industry in Niigata Prefecture. The topics for preparation of the present report are as follows: (1) Research on the problems of Northeast China,(2) Discussion on the "Comprehensive Plan" of Northeast China,(3) Analysis of the Regional Development Theory of Northeast China (including the Regional Social Theory of Northeast China),(4) Technological Innovation of the Niigata Chestnut Industry, and (5) Discussion on the Theory of Regional Social Development of Internal Development.
