1 5〜7月の作業内容ーー宣長自筆本古事記(以下書入本と称す)の初回の写真(本居宣長記念館・複製国文学研究資料館)は撮影に挿紙せず、表裏の文字等が重複し、小生の複写は更に悪く特に欄外の書入等は殆ど判読できぬ。従ってこの期は複写の判読困難部のチェック・符号等の記入、ノート類に判読時のための書入等の作業を行った。2 7〜9月ーー夏期上京し、資料館のマイクロ・プリンターの作業で、判読が進み、その部を複写とノートの不明部に記入作業を行った。(1)書入の第一はその所に関聯する万葉集の巻・丁数のオ・ウの書入。(2)ついで風土記等の上代文献の記入であり、此らにより実証に徹底する研究態度が如実に知られた。(3)寛永版の附訓の訂正・新付訓(空白部)延佳本等の文字の校定作業。(4)貼紙の多用ーー此は序文の前にも多量の参考の書入等があり、至る所に貼紙があり、地方資料にも及び研究の多用性が見られた。(5)この期に記念館での挿絵を入れた再撮影の紙焼により判読進行の予定が撮影者の都合で入手延期となり、直接記念館で不明部の照合を行った。3 10〜12月ーー引き継き複写の困難部の指摘・マイクロ・リーダーによる解読作業を行った。記念館での直接照合にも努めた。4 1〜3月ーー漸く書入本・記伝草稿(22冊)の紙焼到着不明部分減りその部分を記念館で照合した。5 4月以降は書入本を基礎に、草稿本の内容解読、古事記雑考との関聯浄書本・国会本(総論部)それらの複写(入手済)資料と天理図書館の記伝巻三自筆浄書本・神宮文庫の荒木田尚賢書写記伝(共に複写入手諒解済)を得て、此等全資料を比較考察することによって記伝の形成過程に綜合的な視野から研究を進める予定である。
