项目摘要

本研究の目的は、有限不変則度を持たない、所謂II_∞型及びIII型のエルゴード変換の分類問題を考察し、そこに現われる諸不変量を通して、整数論、確率論、作用素環論、微分幾何学等数学諸分野の多種の問題との係り合いを詳細に調べることにある。1.主題の一つである無限(σー有限)な不変測度を持つエルゴード変換の分類問題に関して、研究代表者は、この種の変換の中で、「有限型変換」と呼ばれるクラスの変換に注目し、その可換性やスペクトル型などが、有限不変測度を持つエルゴード変換に極めて近いこと、又、このクラスの変換の軌通の再帰性が、自然数及び整数の直和分解という整数論の問題に密接な関係を持つことを示した。2.仲田均は、自然拡大による方法、及び、測地流のエルゴード論的性質を利用する方法による、エルゴード理論のディオファントス近似論への応用の研究を進め、[0、1]区間の実数を数列{nα}(αは無理数)によって近似する場合の収束のorderに関する精密を結果を得、又、複素二次体上のディオファントス近似論に現われる評価の精密化に成功した。3.確率論の分野では、田中洋が、一次元ランドム・ウォークに対して知られていたPitmanの定理が、多次元単純ランドム・ウォークに対しても成立することを示し、前島信は点過程とその汎関数の収束による極限定理を証明し、それを用いて、自己相似安定過程のあるものに対するdomain of attractionを決定することに成功した。4.(1)塩川宇賢は、ある種の正規数のdigitの分布について考察し、精密な結果を得た。(2)前田吉昭は、Yang-Mills汎関数から構成されるグラディエントの流れの漸近的な挙動を詳しく調べ、ある条件の下で、漸近的安定性が成立することを示した。
