1) An attempt to synthesize bicyclo [3, 3, 1] nonane systemsSulfoxide (2) was transformed to acid chloride (4) in several steps. Acylation of 1, 4-dimethoxybenzene by use of 4 in the presence of Lewis acid gave 5 in a miserable yield.2) A synthesis of conjugate diynene systems (12)Vinyl triflate (11) was synthesized from cycloalkene oxide (8) as shown in following scheme. Transformation of 11 to 12 is being under investigation.
